Dec 26, 2017
ArtRich 2017 was the December exhibition at the Richmond Art Gallery.
My pinhole photograph, At the Docks, was selected to be in the group exhibition. The Richmond Arts Coalition is marking Canada’s 150th by presenting ArtRich 2017, the second juried exhibition for local artists at the Richmond Art Gallery. The jurors included Nan Capogna (Curator, Richmond Art Gallery), Brian Foreman (Richmond photographer/independent curator, recently retired Assistant Curator, Surrey Art Gallery), and Barbara Meneley (Artist and 2017 Branscombe House Art- ist in Resident, City of Richmond).
There was also a public selection of the three favourite images and I was one of the ones selected!!
Above left is Rob Fillo, director of the Richmond Arts Coalition, and his partner. Above right is one of my favourite photographers, Desirée Paterson (make sure you check out her work!).
I voted for her image and also the two paintings below. (We were allowed to vote 3 times.) The one below on the right is a water-colour on rice paper by Miao ting (Anita) Lee. Unfortunately she didn't attend the opening.
