LOS ANGELES March 28, 2016 - Professional photographer Kerri-Jo Stewart of Canada was presented with the 9th Annual International Color Awards THIRD PLACE and Honor of Distinction in the category of Sports at a prestigious Nomination & Winners Photoshow.
The live online gala was attended by over 10,000 photography fans around the globe who logged on to watch the climax of the industry's most important event for color photography. The international Jury included captains of the industry from Contrasto, Rome; National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne; Whitechapel Gallery, London; DDB, Berlin; Forsman & Bodenfors, Gothenburg; Art Beatus Hong Kong; DB Agency, Milan; InStyle Magazine, New York and Kunst Haus Wien, Vienna who honored Color Masters with 591 coveted title awards and 634 nominees in 33 categories.

This celebrated event shines a spotlight on the best professional and amateur photographers worldwide and honors the finest images with the highest achievements in color photography.
"Reining, the Slide" was photographed in an indoor arena during a reining demonstration by Clay Webster. I hate to say that the camera makes a difference, but with moving subjects in dark lit areas it will really make a difference if you want to freeze the motion. This image was shot at 1/60th of a second at F2 so I still had to pan to get a sharp image.
