Here is the article about feeding to reduce coat fading for Equine Wellness Magazine. When I was asked if you can change a horses coat by feeding them the coat colour supplements my immediate response was no. They wanted to keep their black horses shiny and black and I said just good nutrition. Any ways, I did look into it and found that paprika as a feed additive does seem to help the horse's coat maintain the depth of the colour when it is used in conjunction with a healthy diet.
