My image of the marching soldiers in Turkmenistan has been selected to be exhibited in Susan Burnstine's exhibition, The Visual Narrative at the Mpls Photo Center in Minneapolis!
I submitted work to that gallery because I so love Susan's work!! I posted the letter below.

Good Morning, Susan Burnstine, the juror for The Visual Narrative, has completed the jurying process and your image was chosen to be part of the exhibition and exhibition book. Your image was chosen from among 1200 strong images that were submitted. Susan had to narrow it down to 70, so a big congrats to you!
A note from Susan Burnstine:
It was my great honor to act as juror for Visual Narratives, a theme that is very close to my heart. One may think it’s an effortless task to perform as juror, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, I labor over every image and question every decision I make repeatedly. As behind each image there is an artist with great dedication. Thus, it was a daunting task to review so many excellent photographs amongst the 1200+ submitted and it was an even more difficult undertaking to narrow down the selection to 70.
The final selections span every genre, but the common denominator is that they reveal an aspect of the photographer’s personality and perspective in an authentic manner. In effect, these photographs ask more questions than provide answers, which is the essential ingredient in creating meaningful images. I congratulate everyone who submitted and applaud you for your courage to express who you are through the lens of your camera.
Thank you for enriching my visual bounds. Susan Burnstine January 11, 2014
